We have 5 pecan trees, so we can have lots of pie! Or pecan bars...or pecan whatever! The good thing is that we don't ever gain any weight with all the snacks on the train! Hmmm...maybe that's part of the mystery!

Coopah: Now you tell me. I bought pecans today and paid almost $15 per pound. Ouch!

I envy you those pecans Coopah! How lucky you are. Tried to grow them here but not enough season.

Sorry, Emma! Pecans at $15 a pound? Hoo-ee! Our church sold them for a small profit and only charged $10.50 lb. Emma, you are in my husband's home territory of Oregon. He was born in Salem.
Scraps? Need to get them and be off here!!!

I bought pecans today for $5.99 a pound. Gasoline was $2.05 a gallon. It was a warm 74 degrees and foggy Merry Christmas to all the train sisters.

Coopah: Love Oregon. I am a California transplant, now been here almost 18 years. If your every in Oregon let me know.
Oma: Wow, its like a whole different planet. We are paying $2.28 per gal. If any one had told me that gas would ever get to close to $2 a gallon I would just have started laughing. Weird?
Happy Holidays to all. So nice to be looking forward to another train ride from Judy.

Finally finished reading all the posts. Absolutely gorgeous quilts by all of you!

Sorry I wasn't able to join you on this one. Life got in the way. Did save the instructions to my notepad so I can make one later.

Hope to join y'all in January though.
