I went shopping today..........I had too many darks and mediums from the looks of the b/w picture. The fabric up in the top left corner looks light, but the background is really a light green (received the fabric today). So here are my new (and some old) fabrics:

Thanks, I hope they work for the project. I'm still trying to visualize that.

I have the book, and was just trying to figure out what I need when I go shopping tomorrow, I thought I wanted to enlarge the blocks to 12 inch, but then you wouldn't want to make them into the star idea would you? wouldn't that make a 24 inch block and pretty big for a quilt? wonder how a 8 or 9 inch block would work, how did you figure the amount to increase it? by the way, count me in gals.

Welcome aboard!

I have been in touch with Penny Haren, the author, and she told me that she is currently figuring out the yardage for making these blocks into either 9" or 12" blocks. Penny said she would share those figures with us when she gets it done. Isn't that nice?

I am planning to make my blocks the 12" size. I do not want to make mine into stars, but I want them big enough to make a bed sized quilt. I figured out the numbers for the first couple of blocks. It will be interesting to see if I did it right!

hugs, Jupiter
