Get ready... 1 hour and 15 minutes until "Chain of Diamonds."

This has been a nice Catch Up Week. I really enjoyed seeing everyone's blocks together. We are making some very nice quilties.

Now on to the next one.............

hugs, Jupiter

Jealous of the holiday! Wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow - but I'm leaving there for good soon, so I guess I shouldn't rush it.

It is Sunday here too, so here is my Chain of Diamonds... This one went together really easily for me. Either this is one of the easier patterns, or I am starting to get this technique!

Looking good Lara. I do like all your batik fabrics.

I think we are just becoming more comfortable with the cut and paste system. It's a bit of a change from the sewing machine. Though I must admit my fingers and thumbs seem to be getting a bit sore from all the hand sewing.

I suppose I should post mine.

I enjoyed doing this block also -

P.S. Are you retiring from work or just changing jobs?

Very pretty! Love how your block turned out!

I am "retiring." My husband was offered a wonderful job opportunity and we have decided that he should take it. We are moving down to Florida this summer and I am fortunate enough to be staying home with the kids. I'm not sure that spending my days with three toddlers really qualifies as "retiring" but I am going to love it - really looking forward to it and am counting down the days... My last day of work is April 29, then May will be spent traveling and getting ready to move. A very busy late Spring early Summer is in store!

Beautiful job on your "Chain of Diamonds," Obsessed & Deecee. Here is mine. Mine ended up with little arrow-looking shapes on the corners... All of my colors together might be looking too dark...
This has been an interesting experience for me, new techniques, fabric choices.

Oh wow - that is cool. Really neat how you got those arrow shapes - I wonder how that happened!?!

Lara, DeeCee. Irene... beautiful blocks everyone!

Irene, you are definitely a 'path finder' making your own unique block,,,, it does make you wonder where you got the arrow heads from.

DeeCee, your center has a lot of sparkle potential. Consider putting a crystal in the middle?

Lara, did you say 'three toddlers' as in triplets? You are a busy lady.

hugs all around,
Jup
