Here is my next bunch of 12. I am working ahead because I won't be doing anything on DJ in April. I'm not keeping to the schedule because I want to make sure that the shades of blue are well mixed.

April is packing, moving back to Maine for the summer, opening up the cottage ang fixing whatever went wrong during the winter. Then comes mowing, cutting brush and taking down the 3 trees that need to go. Chain saw fun!!!

So I thing I am now 1/4 the way there -- I haven't counted. You will see a lot more PP blocks than applique because I really enjoy PP.

Beautiful Mim! May I join you at the cottage for the summer? I'd be happy to help repair, clean, mow, etc! I bet it is a beautiful place to spend the summer. Have fun and enjoy your time. :)

A few days ago I started to track people who have been posting and comparing it to the signup list I had started. I have comments/postings from 25 of the 124 who signed up [I added your name to the signup list Jocelyn]. Never having started a group before - perhaps Nancy or the rest of you can provide some feedback here. Don't want to bug anyone - but certainly dont want anyone to feel left out or intimidated either... Has anyone ever PM'd people who have signed up for things to ask if 'all is well' etc....give status report... ?? thoughts??

Gus, this is the first sew along I've ever participated in. Thus, I can't answer what is 'normal'. As with many things in life, folks are interested in an event, but, for many varied reasons, cannot start or continue with their intentions. Perhaps some are enjoying the sew along but choose not to post about it. It's a shame we don't have more regular posters, but I wouldn't worry about it. I know I'm enjoying it so far [aside from my break for remodeling the new house :) ]

I'm one of the original ones that signed up but life has gotten in the way and I'm not currently working on anything at all until things settle down. BUT, I am following this group and when I do start I'll let you know. I have all my fabrics in a bin together along with hints you all have posted. I will do this this quilt, just not until probably fall. Happy sewing everyone!

Hi, girls!
How are all they? I hope that very well!
MIM I love their blue blocks! Congratulations! That pass as well as possible in the change of home, sounds fun to go to spend the summer elsewhere!
GUS I don't know how these things are handled. But I think that you there are times to grow things in our life that we cannot control. E.g. repairs in my house, which were not now planned. They emerged when the constructor was available! And yesterday came the painter! The will begin to work on Monday (while it is a holiday in our country and approaching Easter), and estimated that it will take a month to do all the work.So from Monday my life again will leave pace!
But I try to sew, I hope that this stage is less complicated!
For this reason must be that not all are participating or die by stages!
If all this is a hobby, there will always be other priorities. As the saying goes: "man proposes and provides the life!"
But I have new blocks, be them show in another post so that it won't be so long!
A hug!

Hi, girls!
How are all they? I hope that very well!
I completed the 4 week blocks! I learned how to sew curves for the first time in 3 years!
It was something "refused" to me! But thanks to a book by Ms. Sharon Schamber called "Piec-liqué" I managed it! The first attempt was B-3, not so perfect, but it is acceptable for me. The second was B-2 than with more pieces, I was much better! And then I did B-10 that I fell in love with!
I love this project! I'm learning more here in these 3 years I do quilting!
I leave photos, I hope they are to your liking and thanks for sharing all your secrets! They are "gold" for me!
They have a great day and a better week!
A big hug for each one!

Hi GV09, I love your blocks and their colors. Your block colors are the same color family that I am using. I have not posted any of my blocks yet. I don't know why, but I have not. Do you need a computer program to make your block grid. It would be exciting to learn how to create this grid, while at the same time I would be able to keep track of my fabric colors. Thanks
