HEE-HEE.............now I am going to post the picture of my Birdhouse block for everyone to see. As usual, I have to be different & changed the blue birds to yellow Finches. We have so many of them in our area, so I wanted to share them with all of you ladies. Have fun making your block for April 1st, 2011 & share your pictures when they are finished. Are we having FUN yet?

SulaBug...........I was thinking about yellow canaries for my birds. Great minds...........! Love your birdhouse, grreat roof fabric.

Applique is new to me so glad to be able to try it out on this pattern. And I haven't done one of these patterns that is all pieced little pieces, unlike our traditional blocks. Good Choice.

SulaBug, I love your birdhouse. Very pretty colors and those little finches are so cute. I need some Spring as we got a snowstorm last night and it looks like winter all over again. Thanks for sharing. :thumbup:

Why thanks but that not my block...LOL. That is the one that comes on the pattern. I'm trying to make my quilt a winter theme so I was gonna try to make it winter but now I'm having to rethink a bit...hmmmmm.
I might make it all 4 seasons.....
Like 3 blocks per row but that would be kinda long and narrow...LOL :D

Those are right perky goldfinches you have there SulaBug. I have company coming for my big 79th. so I am not even going to attempt to start until a week or so. Have mirrors to hang, drapes to hang, floors to steam and you name it.

Qbee, if your blocks are set straight at 12" finished, without sashing 3 by 4 layout would be 36 by 48, you can always add extra pieced blocks and borders to certain sides or all to make it the size you want it. I think all seasons would be fun. :thumbup:

I am personally leaving my blocks as is, when I have enough I'll start playing with layout designs but I think mine will be allover with no rhyme or reason, lol.

Oops!!! Guess I should have looked a bit closer at the picture! :oops: :oops: Oh, well!! You sure did pick out a beautiful block for our neighboorhoods! My theme is a snowy winter/Christmas so mine will have snow on the roof. ;)

Ladies, Nice bird houses so far!

Of course it's OK.....anything is OK in the BOM since you aren't swapping with anyone else.....do them however YOU like them for your project. The only "rule" is to have FUN!! :D
