Ggal, love both of your blocks. Good idea for a substitute for the Indian--nice color combo; and Jewel is so pretty, makes me think of fall (it's 90* here at 9:15pm so I'm wishing for a little cool air).

I see I'm not the only one not liking the indian on horseback. I said so in the Yahoo group a few months ago but that wasn't appreciated. I will look for a replacement. I like the horse dance block :o

He really doesn't look like an Indian! I thought he looked like a "Red Coat," (British Solder durrin' the Revolutionary War.) That won't do in my patriotic quilt. I'm gonna do a sub!

Ok made my sub for Indian on horse, its the Indian Hatchet:[ATTACH=CONFIG]346896[/ATTACH] Among other names for this block is Road to Kansas. 4 and 3/4 inch square with corner squares of 3" doubled back on two sides made it slightly bigger than the other squares.
