One picture is worth a thousand words ...
"I've got the feel of mine ... I want to see yours!!"
And one thing missing ... in my mind, I saw the video, where DDIL/DS reached to each other and kissed!
How comfy in their lawn chairs!! :)
:DAnd to think ...10 weeks ooooooooooold!:D

Honchey
... OUCH! Hope that you can get it dealt with and over with quickly ... then head south to recuperate! :)

JeanieG ... Ribbing! that's what I was trying to think of!!!! ... kind of like cuffs on sweaters/sweatshirts/sweatpants!

Anael ... I was thinking of the look the kids have now ... where they wear shorts overtop of leggings. Not my choice!!! but the SewGrands would be "in-style" (with what we old'uns don't care for!:D) Just saw your update that they can be left as is ... and your Easter gift, to sew for yourself, tomorrow! Yipppeeeeee!!! and what are you going to do? Any special Easter things for DGS#1?

DDamsel ... cute! How old? Any lambs? or just kids at your place?

And me?
working on getting everything ready for my accountant for income tax prep (due April 30th in Canada) ... not my favourite thing to do! I'd sooner be stitchin'!!! :D

Anael 03-30-2013 12:57 PM

My DGS has his gift already but I'm afraid his dad will take most of it :D I bought him some chocolate easter eggs but I know my DS loves them too!
I'm going to catch up with several projects. I'm behind on almost all of them! First of all I need to make a lot of blocks for the twins, I still have to make my Sylvia BOW, at least one FWS block, I promised my DDIL to make her a wallhanging (first time she asked herself, she never did before)

Yes, 10 weeks old!!!!! Only 4 to go and they're full term :)

Wonderful picture!! Priceless!! Frame this picture...its a keeper. Good to see Mother and Dad with the babies...nice Easter present to all of us. Thank you for sharing this picture.

Love the goat pictures, too. Thinking of all of you and Easter Day...

Anael, Great Photo of the "Family" together... DD..love the "kids"...Wow!! You really are out in the "boonies" as we say here in Jersey...are you far away from grocery shopping? that's my first thought when driving around and there's nothing visable except sky & greenery..fields of vegetation..etc.
I'm putting together an Easter basket for my youngest grandson....what an ordeal...it's been so long since I've done that....all the little stuff that goes in it..the older one is easy..gift card from Walmart, hugs & kisses...They are coming by tomorrow for a "visit"...
I starched and pressed the fabric for "-----------"s MB...don't bother counting the spaces ...:) I'll cut it up when I get back from the store..I'm going to hunt for some "peeps" for the basket...

Honchey--sorry for your pain and delay on your trip. Praying things go well Monday and you can be on your way.

Anael--that is a special picture of the twins and their parents.

DD--fun picture of the kids. I have a friend with goats and my children and I went to help with deliveries a couple times. Good "science class" for homeschooling. :) They liked it when there were twins...sometimes triplets too. We went back and helped with feeding too. Both her children have since graduated so they don't have near as many this year...for the past 3-4 Springs they were having at least 30 "kids"!! Children were in 4-H...they had both dairy and meat goats.

Well I got the sashing on my BBs today. I had to add one of my extra PC blocks to get to 16. The lower right corner will be the label block from GrannyQ. The block on the top will be repeated 4 across on both the top and bottom. Then the side borders will alternate blue, then green, then blue. The cream fabric has swirls and dots of red, green and blue. I even found enough fabric in my stash for the backing so I can start quilting this week.

Like your layout Carrie; thinking about mine....and thinking. Cleaning up Quilt Room and trying to find out where I hid the Farmer's Scraps pattern...

Off to do dishes and get ready to cook today. Fried chicken, creamed peas, mash potatoes and gravy. Had green beans in the Dutch Oven yesterday, with pork loin done in the oven with apples and brown sugar and mashed potatoes. Pork loin for breakfast this morning...maybe biscuits. Then back in the quilt room. Bf quilts, too. That makes it nice. Homemade cinnamon rolls, oatmeal cookies, and think the brownies are all gone...time for more!!

Good luck, Honchey; may you have a quick recovery. Good luck on the Easter baskets. Between two Grandma's gs is going into sugar overload today.

I've been missing in action for a few days.. Got a distressed phone call from DD early Friday morning, she thought she had broken her ankle. Didn't want to call an ambulance until I could get there. I had an overnight bag packed and was on the road in ten minutes. Thank goodness DH was home to look after the dogs. An hour and a half later I was at her place. Good news it is not broken but she had some tendon damage and was told at the hospital to stay off it for 48 hours so I have been here ever since playing nurse. I hope to go home tomorrow if she can stand on it.

QuiltE I don't think I could hide a Sweet16:D and the calculations for the Compass blocks will be done with pen and paper. I have EQ6 but have never mastered it and really I am quicker with a note pad

JeanieG Elvis will always be a favourite of mine, I can still picture my childhood friend being sprayed with the water hose by her mother as she threw a tantrum upon hearing of his wedding to Priscillla, still makes me smile

Anael what a beautiful photo

There has been so much chatting since I have been gone so I hope you will forgive me if I don't reply to everyone. Will talk to you all again as soon as I am home

Goodnight and Happy Easter to you all

Happy Easter!!!!!!!

http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...D-Y2ryHchlHhKQ

I've searched my home and that darned Easter Bunny, didn't leave one! :D

Anael ... I have a feeling :D that you'll be choosing DDIL's wall hanging, just to help give her a lift! Maybe do two at once, and keep one for yourself?

Honchey ... Hope you got your basket together, before the kids arrived! :) Just thinking of their pic, makes me smile!

CarrieM ... good idea for your sashing ... a great way to sash/border up when one fabric choice does not work for all. And bonus, that it's a stash project!

QNSue ... you just made up my mind about supper tonight ... roast pork tenderloin with roasted veggies. Thank You!!

NurseMiraB ... how nice that she still wants her MOM!! So glad it's not broken, and hope it heals fast. Good reason for her to sit and quilt! :D Maybe she just wanted her Mommy for her Birthday? What did she do? Thanks for tackling the challenge of ... I could do it, butttttt right now, need to do my income tax prep. Will be interesting to see how close to my "estimate" it will be ... or how OFF I was! I would so love to be able to shop my stash for this quilt!

Everyone ... please have a Happy Easter whether with others or Home Alone!
I'll just continue with my number crunching!! :D
(some Happy Easter that is!!!)
Though I will confess, strange enough, I was enjoying it ... nice easy going music on, sun shining in (not today) and just quietly working away with no interruptions ......... other than getting up to make myself another tea! :D

Good luck with your number crunching QuiltE! And Happy Easter to you too.

I'm choosing the wall hanging for sure. She just told me the measurements and on which wall (a blue one). So I'm going to make her an Anael quilt LOL and you all know what that means! She now has my Lonestar hanging there but I want that one back ;) That was my first real quilt, can you believe it? How little did I know about designs and difficulty. I just thought oh I love that one so I made it LOL. It's this one, I guess you've seen somewhere on the board.
