I wish ya had gone w/me. The fabric I bought for my DNiece's baby blankets was on sale for 3.99 & 5.99 a yard. It looks like it is only 42 " wide though. :( I bought 6 differen prints & each one will be a baby blanket. I try ta make 'em square. So I guess it will be 41" square. I know for sure about the size after I wash 'em & square 'em up. I'll work on 'em in Brady this weekend. We are gonna go for our anniversary. We will be married 30 years on Mon.

Dublb, congrats on 30 years of marriage and have fun at the cabin.

Watching Cooking Channel tonight, and went to the site on internet to find "I want to marry you cookies" wow. Bobby Flay had a 'show-down' with Flour's famous sticky buns....a bit more that grandma's sweet dough cinnamon rolls. I think I gained another 10 pounds watching that show. Oh, and Bobby lost this time. Gotta try that sticky bun recipe sometime. Looked good!!!

Down loaded three free patterns from Pam Bono site. Hope that I got the right one...???

QNSue ... Now that sounds like a good name for cookies! Got the link or can you give us the recipe?
And to think the ones I made today were plain boring chocolate dough with chocolate chips and walnuts!
When I want them to sound more exciting, I call them Brownie Cookies!

DulbB ... Congratulations on your 30 years. I'm confused about your fabric ... isn't most only 42" now? And if there's shrinkage? Have fun making your niece's baby blankets in your get away again!

Most o' what I buy is at least 44". It used ta be 45". A 44" or 43" blanket will be much more convenient than a 40" or 41" one. I guess I'll try ta make the double hem a 1/4" instead o' 1/2". That might help.

QuiltE, internet site is www.CookingChannel.com, Bobbie Flay's showdown program, look for the sticky buns, then over to the right side are several recipes listed, one of which is the cookie recipe. If you do not find it, let me know and can email it to you, but you should be able to access it.

I got Jan's blocks today and they look great!

Anael--thanks for the sneak peek...I like the bright colors of both the fabric and glasses. :) Get well soon!

Dublb--congrats on the 30 yrs of marriage! Nice that you have your "getaway" place in Brady!

Thanks ya'll for all the congratulations. We've been married longer than not. LOL We met when I was 17.5& he was 15 almost 16. We married just after his 20th birthday & 3.5 months before my 22nd birthday. (LOL I just told ya'll how old I am. Oh well.)
I realize that DH probably won't give me anything this year. He is still sad & has no desire ta go shoppin' w/out me. He has given me some really nice anniversary presents in the past & all I asked for this year is ta be in Brady, on the day. :) I'm gonna have that. :) I'll have him all ta myself.

JanRN ... we knew they'd be beautiful!!! What were you fretting about? :)

DublB ... looks like you have what you want the most .. your DH! :) Enjoy your getaway!!! :)
