Girls, I need some eye candy--- Please!!

No computer time for me tomorrow a.m.; we're off to Atlanta to see about DH's clogged arteries and aortic valve problems. (I think by-pass & valve repair surgery will be soon.) So am probably first this week to send pictures of blocks 57 & 58. There should be lots of good pictures added by the time we get back home.

Beautiful blocks--again!! I can't wait for Wednesdays so I can see all the new blocks posted. Isn't it exciting? Weezie those butterflies are too cute. And GrannyQ, my next quilt is going to be in purples-you've taught me how to use different shades/hues and make stunning blocks. QNS I always wait for your "story" along with your blocks.

Thanks very much, Hattie! Next Monday at 10 a.m. is pre-surgery (lab, etc.) for about 3 hours and then he is to be back at Admissions at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday for the surgery. Traffic to & from Atlanta is always a booger and sometimes stops moving completely, so we've reserved a motel room for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday nights (right at hosp. area with hosp. care discount & shuttle service). We were both enormously impressed with the heart surgeon, who predicts an 85% chance of survival for DH and I won't comtemplate anything other than success.

I know this subject is not about Blocks 57/58 photo's, but I don't think any of you will mind my sticking this here .... I've only ever seen extreme kindness from everyone in this BOM group.

Jan RN - Nice blocks, you did a perfect job. Isn't it a thrill to see how just a few fabric choices can completely change the look of the blocks.

I pray your dear husband will be ok...........It is worst on us though.....A year ago November 27 th my husband had triple by pass. Please be advised it is not a pretty site when they come out of surgery. I hope they told you that they are really swollen. They didn;t tell us and we almost fainted. Please keep up on here how your husband is doing. Our Prays Are With You :( :(

Weezie, don't worry about us. Take care of DH and yourself. We'll all be thinking about you both and praying for a full recovery. We'll be here when you get back.

It's a four-day weekend for me. Today (Sunday) is the first day I've quilted. But here they are, with bright shining faces...

I was able to sew tonight and I have caught up. I changed the amount of pieces in 57 though...

We have a great bunch of blocks and quilters in this group. I'm so glad I happened on this site. Here are my 57 & 58 finally done! I didn't really enjoy doing 57--the last 4 corner sets were a pain to sew on--even w/PP they were wonky. 58 is named aptly--it was a dream to sew.

Wowser! I am not sure where my thinker is?? I finished what I thought was my 4" #57 Morning Block in Scrappy fabrics.
And since posting it is not exactly up to specs. Can you see the problem?pretty noticable..

Well, will think on this one, Do I make a new one? I really kind of like this one other than the mistake of course.
