Well, I think KooklaBell wins the prize for these blocks!! Must have been a lot of work to do that blue one!! :)

Here's mine ...
#87... Star Gardener
and
#88 ... Star of Hope

90/111 ... which means atleast two more and then I can do my 2nd PC!

Oh I love the Star Gardener-the key to great looking small blocks has always been great contrast and this one proves it.
I had to zoom to 400%, but I could read the sweet saying under the little sparrow. "Turn me loose and let me be, Young once more and fancy, free. Let me wander where I will, Down the lane and up the hill"

Everyone, my jaw drops everytime I see your blocks. The stitching is so precise, the colors combos and fabric selections are spectacular. I can't wait to get through all the threads, it's been a treat to be in the back of the pack.

ITA on that being a great advantage of being at the back of the pack! However, the front runners got to see them gradually ... and I've always envied their journey together and camaraderie developed along the way. So I guess it's Win-Win no matter where you are!

Thanks
OKSGlad ... as I worked on the SGardener, I couldn't help but wonder would the beige one be a CW? The bird fabric was one I found recently when I was looking for PC extras. There's about a dozen different birds, some with text. I used a robin from it in #65 Peaceful Hours. It had the Alphabet!!!

And thank you too for teaching me the 200/400% trick. I knew it was there, but never thought it'd make such a difference to seeing some of the blocks. It really does help bring my poorer photos to better visibility. You Ladies with scanners ... I envy! I love how we can see every detail, right down to the weave of the fabric!!

Absolutely breath taking QE! That bird is so perfect, what a great find. I agree with OK about the great contrast. Love and love your star gardener! You're about to pass me by!

Thanks! ... I'm not passing you yet though. Two more and then I get to do my 2nd PC. Then I'll set another goal for FWS before I do another PC, and so on! The birdie is kind of cute, isn't he? There's a goldfinch that might fly into the quilt, if there's a block left that is big enough for him. I haven't looked ahead but I'm kind of dubious there'll be another big open block ... we'll see!

My old printer was "giving up the ghost", so saw a printer, fax, copier, scanner in a Fry's ad for under $50.00. Never used the fax part, but the scanner and copier are great to have. I like the printer because it does double sided copies automatically! The print quality is not as good as my old HP, but for the price it is awesome! You might check out a new unit - the inks cost almost as much as printers these days!

Yes, it's something that I've been meaning to do for sometime ... as you know I'm so not a computer-geek, so hate the shopping part of it and knowing whether it's what I want/need! Someday I'm going to kidnap a "kid" who knows all about this stuff and take them shopping with me! :)

Currently, I have a laser and am quite happy with it .... for quilting, it'd be such a blessing to have a colour printer when I print out patterns, block ideas, etc. Now to find the kid! :)
