I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE IS WORKING ON THIS QUILT USING ENGLISH PAPER PIECING? IT IS A LOT OF FUN BUT REALLY TAKES SOME PATIENCE....IT IS ALL DONE BY HAND!

Linda Franz has an Inklingo package for this quilt.

When she came out with it about two years ago(?), there were scores of bloggers working on it.
Some of the fabric combos, especially those that went the Kaffe & Co. route, were stunning.

Here's a random blogger's work. Scroll down to see the different blocks:

I was just at a quilt show today and one of the shops was demonstrating this. I've done the Grandmother's Flower Garden before and I did buy a package of the 1" honeycomb pieces to put together.

I am working on a scrap one..... I've gotten 14 (inner) blocks done-- basically 3 levels out...i know most have 4 levels, but I am considering skipping the fourth or just making that my pathway/connection color. If I do 4 levels and then my pathway, this thing is going to get bigger than I wanted it to be. Each block is generally one basic color with different patterns/shades.

I wish I had the eye for the fancier patterns that almost look like a kaleidoscope, but I don't.....some I have seen online are gorgeous!

I had started one last year and only got to the 4th square. The next one will be the same color on all the blocks but it seems like I have not had time to do any more of them. It depends on the fabric you get to have the kaleidoscope look. I did see a Marcus print that would be good. Here's my started block

I just went to a quilt show and one of the vendors showed me how she did hers. She glued the fabric onto the cardboard pieces eliminating basting the fabric to the cardboard. Then you just sew the pieces together. It seems like a lot of LQS's around here are making them.

I've made only one with civil war repros, just to try it out. I love the way it looks, but it was time consuming. Seems like just a regular hexi flower/grandmother's garden is faster.
