This week we are using my Wings Block

So as usual it uses my cut down method which I think makes your blocks more accurate and you have better control of the size as you go.
Just make sure to measure each time you complete a step.
It will save a lot of frustration when you are done.

Here are the directions to making the Wings Blocks.

To make this quilt block into a 12 1/2" unfinished size you will need a 2 1/2" template.

You can take a look at the layout picture to see what Blocks you need and where to put the colors. If you change the color arrangement you will get a differant look from mine.

So try it out and see what you can make with this design! Have fun!

If you need any help don't hesitate to ask. I'll be more than happy to help.

If you need templates let me know. I will need your postal address and PLEASE send it by pm or email not on the open board. The templates are FREE no fees or postage needed.

Wow, you are going out of your color zone....I can't wait to see what everyone does with this one.

I've been playing with these colors for awhile they probably just didn't make the cut for the one I posted in the past threads. I try to stretch myself. I have been buying brights and more med prints than tiny. I want to make some stuff to sell and I want to try to use fabrics that are more mainstream. I'll still do my tiny prints in the minis but this is one attempt to use brighter stuff

Works for me...I have so many blocks in so many colors, so at this point, I'm just finding colors I like and look good together. Then some day I'll just lay them all out, and which ever blocks/color go together....that will be a quilt.
