What is the EQ? I'm new here, so if the question is silly, that explains it.

No question is silly. It is only a question you don't know the answer to.

EQ is the Electric Quilt software for your computer. There are diff years such as EQ5 which is about 20 yrs old and then they offered EQ6. these two are older ones and sometimes you can buy them cheaply if someone as one they want to sell. the current one EQ7 has been out for a couple of years or more and is the one most people have.

You can build a quilt on it and try out differant color arrangements. I did 23 lessons on using EQ5 EQ6 and EQ7.
There is alot you can do with it. if you want to design your own quilts or quilt blocks or just want to play with the possibilities it is a good buy, and for my money the best software. but others have other types of software.
