The fun part here is its a suggest block guys so if you decide to jump on board anytime its ok to do only the ones you want or pick only the easy so you can get here faster then do both later on but the trick is.. you have to start. even one is a start so get out your fabrics and join along. its cool to see what they all look like all different colors they will be great. Hey wyldwytch! how is your hand? is it healing ok? can you use it at all yet? I think we forgot to ask. I am sorry bad of me.

Extra blocks are great..again guys they are just out there for those who want to push themselves even faster farther. if its not for you dont do them. JUST MAKE AT LEAST ONE BUSLADY.. and all other watchers. You can start anytime and even ifyou only ever do say four.. well lovely little wall hanging that would be. two? a pair of placemats six? a baby quilt. you dont have to think big. just think group fun. this is fun honest. now its only so many hours til we get our new blocks. YIPPPEEE I am ready and excited. this way i can whip them out tonight before I go onto the scrappy quilt tomorrow (she is really putting out big instructions right now lots of work).. I think her next mystery will be bit slower paced when she is not heading off to Peru or someother country like that to enjoy herself. la cucaracha lacucaracha.. ya no puedo caminar.. oh wait that is not Peruvian..shoot anyone know any Peruvian songs? I know Maria Maria me estan coriendo then I forget the rest of those words. shoot good song to. lol. nuts yes sometimes i am. singing Christmas songs about rats eating your pants.. yup. darned Spanish teachers.

No, dear, it's not lack of want. It is lack of time. I over extended this month. I have a DQ to do, my son's quilt to finish (it's only been 3 years), and our church group is starting an "All accross America" quilt on the 19th. Oh, and my sister's comfort quilt. That I thought I had done, but she wants it bigger. Back to the sewing machine!!! And I thought I was going to finish up some UFO's I found.....I'll say it again, This dang job sucks!! Keeps me from sewing.

I should be able to work on blocks this weekend. Printed off but need to pick fabric. Going to try to do scrappy. I'm trying to finish a charity project for a pet adoption event in 3 weeks.

Ok I finished my blocks but havent completely finished the quilting on top. As you might remember, I am doing these as quilt as you go, so not only is it a sampler of quilt blocks, it will be a sampler of quilting techniques.
I finished one of the quiltings (orange block) however, I still have to pick off the stabilizer on the top. I opted to do some pantographs on them.....from one of my books. I figured I could trace it out on tear away stabilizer then pull it off.....ahhh, well best of intentions yield hours of picking stabilizer out of the stitching without pulling stitches. Guess I will pick up some of that paper piecing paper, it should be thin enough to tear off easier.

So, without further ado...here are my 2 blocks

This is the easy block quilt, doing a Midnight Quilt style on this one

This is the challenging block quilt, doing a black/white with accent of orange (instead of red/pink)

I'd like to join the block of the month, but where do I go to find the weekly directions and chats? It seems once I leave this place, I can never find the same thing, again. Help?

Toi, up at the top of any of the posts, is a thing that says "Thread Tools" click that drop down box. Then select subscribe to thread. When that happens, you can forever after click your "Quick Links" on the forum menu bar and find that specific thread.

Another way, especially if you posted, you click "My Profile" then on the left hand side, in the menu there, just click the choice "Find recent posts" and it will pull up all the threads you have commented on.

I use them to find out the easiest method of checking up on things I want to see specifically
