Default Rhonda's Second Sampler Quilt Along - Week 19 - Eleanor

This week the blocks are Kansas Dugouts and 4 Patch Square Blocks

So as usual it uses my cut down method which I think makes your blocks more accurate and you have better control of the size as you go. Just make sure to measure each time you complete a step. It will save a lot of frustration when you are done.

Here are the directions to making the Kansas Dugout blocks

    The 4 Patch Square blocks
    http://www.bitsnpiecesworkshop.com/p...tionBlocks.php

To make this quilt block into a 12 1/2" unfinished size you will need a 2 1/2" template. You can take a look at the layout picture to see what Blocks you need and where to put the colors. If you change the color arrangement you will get a differant look from mine.

So try it out and see what you can make with this design! Have fun!

If you need any help don't hesitate to ask. I'll be more than happy to help. If you need templates let me know. I will need your postal address and PLEASE send it by pm or email not on the open board. The templates are FREE no fees or postage needed.

Sorry about that. I usually have Irfanview set so it changes the bitmap file to jpeg when I resize the block. I forgot I was using bitmaps for another project and didn't change it back. So the blocks I posted are bitmap and that is why you are having trouble seeing them.

Here are the blocks in jpeg form

I'm going to wait a couple days to do this one. I have one block coming in from my Dec. swap and it should match my teal/turquios sampler. So then I'll do this one in blue and browns and I'll be working on another sampler. And I like the Kansas Dug out, and I don't have any blue/brown ones, but I do have teal. And this will give me more practice on those 4 patch. Something so simple, and I now think I know what I do wrong with tem
