http://www.quilterscache.com/W/WildZinniasBlock.html

I have chosen "Wild Zinnias" from Quilter's Cache for our September block. For those of you who don't like paper piecing, I have to say this goes very quickly and I had a lot of fun putting it together. AND, I'm very proud to report that I did NOT have to use my seam ripper once on the block I did.

I will start a thread for pictures later this evening.

That is a really pretty block. Good for you. I still have my ripper right next to me when I piece and quilt.

Are there supposed to be additional directions when you click on Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block, or is there only one page of instructions to this block? I did get the templates.

There is another link called "Practice Paper Piecing Page" for those that are not familiar with how to do it. As far as assembly, I just put my four pieced squares together like the example shows. I did make try to make sure my points and seams matched. If I didn't answer your question, feel free to pm me. :D

I'll post a picture once I get home from work (in about 4.5 hours).

I'd be happy to change the block pattern if most of you don't want to try it. Just post your thoughts. And, SulaBug, I found it to be amazingly easy -- and I'm fairly new to paper piecing.

Great minds think alike Ducky.
I love this pattern so much, I chose it along with two others for the November pattern just in case. Now I'm down to one cuz the other was used in April or May. Can you believe that? How funny. Well, I have this one 1/2 way made so guess I will finish it up :)
Now to find a few other patterns...

I love paper piecing. Can't wait to get started. Still need to do last months that I keep looking at and dreading but that is the fun of all this. Doing so many different techniques. Thanks for taking the time to make this fun.
