Hmmmm...I can't decide on A and B, too. My blocks look kind of dull when I lay them on a cream or light. Am thinking of using a dark brown or blue for the sashing to make the 9-patches pop more and try light colored stars. I may have to sleep on this. :-)

Finally got my 9-patches done, also got the 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 rectangles cut also. Here is the picture of my 12 - 9 patches. I also posted a picture of my A & B plue one other. Not sure if I want the white or black to be the stars......any input would be helpful.

the white is a white on white with sunflowers, Or the tan swirls.

What's a girl to do? Put these away and look for 108 OTHER squares? Oh, I don't think so....... So this is my palette, and I'm going with it. Now, to cut those 2.4 x 4.5 rectangles.
How can you say you're not scrappy? Are they not scraps from the current quilt? Yes. So, you're scrappy...love the pallette. I still have to start mine...life's getting in the way right now.

Running a little behind, (life happens) but will catch up. Just a few more pieces to cut then off to the sewing room. This if my first mystery quilt, but I have done a scrappy quilt before. Did a scrappy log cabin for my oldest grandson for high school graduation. If this one works out, it may be graduation quilt for youngest grandson who graduates in 2014. Thanks for letting me participate. Have not ridden a train since 1949 when my Grandmother and I went from Texas panhandle to California to visit her family. This ride should be fun.

Well I missed the train as it pulled out of the station....but am determined to make up for lost time. I saw this thread earlier today and believe it or not now have all of the 4.5" squares cut for the nine patch blocks. I'm doing the large size and I think all of my fabs are different! Whew...been doing some scrambling here today ....as I want all of the blocks to have a common theme. Every block is either a floral or has leaves on it...anything that grows out of the ground works. This is my first mystery quilt and my first (almost) uncontrolled scrappy! I'll post pics when I get some of the blocks put together. What an adventure this will be! I may have to catch a plane and meet you as the train pulls into the final destination! or if that doesn't work I'll be waiting for you when you arrive safely home!

Judy.............Thank you so much for the information that I had asked for. I know that I can figure it out, without any trouble!! This is going to be a beautiful little quilt, I LOVE it!! I haven't been able to start the new clue today, but hopefully tomorrow. Judy, you are a "Genius" at putting these Mystery projects together for all of us to enjoy.
