Cindy, your border fabric is PERFECT! Beautiful quilt! I used a dark brown sashing and think after seeing your quilt will add it as a border. I like the way it frames the design.

Saphire Rae, I love the pink stars with your brights! Many of the fabrics in my pieced border were not in the 9 patches but they all seemed to mix in. The next one I'm going to do will be light sashing with pink stars. :-)

Finished clue 3 and have added the sides. I really like it but am now undecided on wether to add borders or not to frame the quilt and what colour? I was thinking maybe the blue like the stars. What do you all think?

I unexpectedly ended up making a third quilt. We rearranged the furniture and moved our bed to another room. Since we sleep days, we use heavy curtains to block out the daylight, and the previous curtains didn't match the new room at all. DH suggested I make a small quilt and hang over the window. I had some blue blocks already made for a charity quilt, so I grabbed some of them and quickly threw one together using the mystery quilt pattern.

My quilting machine had been stored away in another part of the house, and I haven't been able to use it in ages. We moved it to our "old" bedroom, and I'm (hopefully) going to attempt to quilt the mystery quilt in just a bit. If all goes well, and if I don't fall over from exhaustion, I'm hoping to hang the new "curtain" before we go to bed this morning. (I also made a bunch of make-ahead freezer dinners this morning, and am still recovering from the flu, so I'm flat wore out! LOL!)

I'll finish up the other two mystery quilt tops this week. I'm loving how everyone's turned out! This is a very handy pattern. I may try to use it for some of my Boomerang blocks.

Well, I may not be able to quilt it this morning after all. I can't find the bag of accessories and tools and bobbins and needles that came with the machine.

Not a very good picture (bad lighting), but here it is. The yellow is a nice sunny yellow color, and the green is "richer" than it looks. The camera flash washed the colors out, I guess. Still no luck on finding the accessories to my quilting machine.

I don't have a programmable Janome, but this tutorial might help those who do program in a serpentine stitch:

Seeing all those lovely quilts has spurred me on to finish this mystery. I keep putting it off as I'm making another couple of quilts, but these are so lovely. I've decided to add another row of blocks to make a nine block quilt instead of 6. Hope I can work out the patched border/ stars around it.

I was dong a nine blocks for a 56" square, but decided to go with twelve, so I have been cutting squares this morning. Now I will cut my As and use the squares as leaders. I AM getting done. although slowly. Bs are cut.

jaba, just posted my batik table runner in the new picture thread. Made it with 3-1/2" blocks, but is a bit skimpy. Didn't measure, just measured that the 4-1/2" would be too big. Could have used another 9-patch. Once again the old "measure twice cut once" comes into play! Oh well.

Hmmmm sunlite, what kind of fabrics?
