When quilting on a frame, you start at one end and work toward the other end. I have never heard of anyone starting in the middle. I started with a hoop, then bought the Grace EZ3 frame (which I quilted one quilt on), but I have gone back to a hoop. If you post this as a thread also, you might get other responses.
