Thank you Leslie. I had a great time making it and I'm very pleased with the results of my efforts. My family thinks it's neat. So it will be fun to give away.

Can't wait to see a pic of it all finished. That is fast for someone who works fulltime and is a beginner! You should be proud of yourself!

I do not like quilting a large quilt on a domestic machine either. I did one for my daughter in three parts, then sewed the parts together at the end. Kind of, sort of like quilt as you go, but in long strips. I just avoid the whole issue by making only small quilts!

You are working hard! I've never even attempted FMQ, so I admire you for doing it at all. Good luck tomorrow.

Excellent Quiet Day at Work? Or at least it sounded like it. Good luck with your quilt. Can't wait to see pictures. Have a good weekend.

Thanks. I just received the 15-91 yesterday. I will probably plug her in tonight to see how she does. I flashed my stash on Ravely.com. It is a knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning community. Most of us have some type of yarn stash (similar to a fabric stash) that we show off for others to ooh and ahh over.

You will love the 15-91. Mine is from 1951 -- a centennial -- same age as I am! I have the original cabinet and stool as well.

    What is Flash your Stash?

It's a shame when it comes to having to take such drastic measures. When I first found the free offers section I was really excited about it. I did a pif contest right away. I tried to play a couple of game ones no luck. And any of the ones where it was just free to the first person or person# such and such I learned that unless you hung out there all the time a person most likely didn't have a chance. Making a couple of guesses on a contest is ok, but when you see one person who is posting one right after the other and there are like 6 or 7 post for that person before you see anyone else making a guess and them again in a block doesn't seem fair to others.

Oh, that is scary. My Hobby Lobby only carries the polyester, I've never seen cotton batting in that store. I have to go to JoAnn's, the LQS or buy it online.

Hello, I am glad you started a blog here. I'll go see if your email is still on my 401-A email from you. Quiltincowgirl sent me three cams for BettyBoop. I loved them too. I'll talk to you more later. Just popped in to get a copy of a post I did. HUGS

Let me show my ignorance of how to find anything on this board one more time - exactly where is your photo album? I did a search and couldn't locate it. Really want to see it and the baby quilt. Hope your Thursday was as great as you'd hoped.

I too love Veteran's Day. I always try to take that day off from work. I spent 6 years in the Navy and loved it. I met and married my husband while we were both serving. I really appreciate all the Veteran's and Active Duty Military. They have served/serving this country well. God Bless them everyone!
