  1. Sewing Christmas Gifts.

    I finally started sewing the potholders I'm making for Christmas gifts. I assembled 12 potholder tops this morning. I have 3 more to make. I'm giving away one to each of my 7 co-workers and one to each of my bosses' wifes, a couple to each of brother, and one set for me. I just have to cut the backs out, the insul-brite and I have the cotton batting on order. I will get the cotton batting in about 9 days.

    I have to cast on to knit one more dishcloth, and they will all be done. ...

  2. I have to get my Christmas gifts done

    I have 3 more dishcloths to knit and I have 8 potholders to make. I'm going to start cutting out the potholders this weekend and get started piecing the tops. I can sew them up at night during the week too. I've been either knitting or sewing a little each night to keep up with my projects. When DD comes over to sew, I end up helping her so much I can't do my own projects, so I lose about 4 or 5 hours on the weekend of good sewing/knitting time.

  3. Whoopee! It's Friday!

    Wow, I love these four day work weeks. I didn't do any sewing or knitting last night. I was too tired. I rested up and I will go back into my sewing room tonight to get some stuff ready to workon this weekend. I want to cut out my bow tuck bag pieces, and I want to start cutting out potholders for Christmas gifts. I also want to retry the hexagon table topper again. I think I know why it didn't work the first time, so I'm going to try it again and pay better attention to the instructions instead ...
