Thanks so much...now - what is a BOMs? How do I find that? I am REALLY new at this board but like it very much!!

Hi, that is this years BOM at the 1st of each month by Sulabug. Go into BOMs and you can find all of them, each month.

my LQS will figure these changes for me if i take information to them and if i am purchasing fabric from them. i don't know how to use their calculators but they do.

if i have to figure on my own this is kind of what i do:

the 80 1/2 is 28 1/2 inches bigger than the wall hanging. (80 1/2 - 52= 28 1/2
that is a little more that 1/2 the hanging size. so i figure i need enough additional fabric to make another half of the wall hanging
so i would add another half to the amount called for in your pattern.
example: red calls for 7/8 yd, so i would buy no less than 1 1/2 yard.
that is 7/8 (round to 1 yard divide by 1/2 = 1/2 so 7/8 + 1/2 is 1 3/8 -----
the cream calls for 1 1/8 (Round the 1/8 to 1/2) , half of that is 3/4 yard
so i would purchase 1 1/8 + 3/4 = 1 7/8 yard (2 yards).
i hope this makes sense.
(i always round up to the nearest 1/2 yard when i buy)
