  1. Victory on the Long Arm!

    I had a charity quilt for one of the guilds I belong to and was dreading the quilting. It was just not square. A fellow LA quilter told me it would be ok--only off a little when we did the "fold into quarters" test. So got it on the frame and found that all 3 of the borders where "off"--little pulls/tucks where they attached to each other even before I did anything! and the blocks were all wonky,too. Lots of potential for puckers and one even had about a 2" place that ...

  2. Christmas Day winding down--I need to re-wind!

    We had the kids and g-boys over last night for Christmas big meal and presents--wish we didn't have to share with in-laws.
    And today "read" the paper(with eyes closed) in my jammies until noon! Had a glorious Christmas with family and hope all of you did,too. I'm feeling bad for those families that have lost electricity due to ice in Michigan and other places, know how that is, so really hope that power restored quickly and all of you stay safe.

  3. Quilt for Veteran pieced!!

    Back from Eureka Springs Arkansas--check out "Treasures from the Pacific" if you visit. It's a shop that has lots of Hawiian applique patterns and some pretty Asian fabrics. Picked up 6 fat quarters--feeling good that was only purchase--trying to reign in my expenses!

    The Vet's quilt is a out of Fons and Porters--went together quickly and goes on the long arm tomorrow a.m.--AFTER I help my hubbie switch out a light over the long arm!
