How does he do with his school work.
We have a lot of trouble with that, esp reading.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful family with us.
Thank you for the wonderful posting. I have a dear friend who worked with developmentally disabled people and I've done the same. We both feel that these people are gifted in a manner which the rest of us are unable to appreciate or understand. I'm so sorry about his negative experiences with his paternal grandmother. It sounds as though he does better with you. Best wished to you and your family.
my oldest grandson has Aspergers and is diabetic. He will be 20 in July. He is smart but tends to blurt out totally ridiculous things at odd moments such as " i eat raw hamburger" to a girl he was trying to impress.
I have 6 other grandchildren ranging from 24-9 yrs of age. The oldest girl who will be 24 in September is expecting my first great-grandchild in August. We dont know the sex yet but hopefully baby will be co-operative on Tuesday when she goes for the ultrasound.
I had five children--the oldest was killed in traffic accident in august 2005. She was the mother of the oldest grandchild and since she is not here to welcome her first grandchild to this world I will stand in for her and let this child know just how wonderful his/her grandma was.
What is asperger? I have never heard of this.I am glad you are posting this.I broke my neck (hangmans break) almost 5 years ago.My doctors told us it was a miricle I even lived.Only 1 in a 1000 walk away from this. And I did.I have some issues,I kind of am like a stroke victim( left side loss) but not enough to stop me.I am now doing foster care (6 years now).My 3 children are grown now.I have 2 1/2 grandchildren.3 1/2 years ago I was giving my newborn neice to foster.Last year we adopted her.She was born heavily addicted to vicodan. She is mostly normal and very happy but every now and than it shows it's ugly head. There is so much bigotry in this world.I am great you are posting. It is nice to be reminded that all families have their little things.
