Thank you, was so happy it brought in as much as was needed to get 2 machines, now they have 4 new machines the same, so much easier for teachers and the gals to only have one machine to learn.
That is one of the reasons I got 221s for my studio. easy to use and take care of my self, and I love the pretty colors I have LOL

You forgot to say that you came home exhausted from lack of sleep!

I have been on many retreats, so I understand everything you said. And, by the way, even though I've been on so many retreats, I still always pack way too much "stuff"!

What class are you taking Saturday? Or are you teaching it?

Enjoyed your post. I am pretty new to quilting. Have done 4 quilts to date, but have been on a serious break for the last 4 - 5 years. So, I am trying to learn. I feel dumb, but what does the "FW" stand for? I wasn't aware sewing machines come in colors either. I have just purchased a new Pfaff Sensation and am eager to get my sewing room set up (recently moved/downsized). I also have a Designer I that I plan to sell. How were you purchasing your machines? EBay? I have not ever sold on EBay, so I have been a bit nervous to list on it. Any suggestions on the best place to list? Sorry for all the questions, but it sounds like you have a great deal of experience.
Thanks for your input. Have a great evening!

P.S. Are any of your classes for beginners? Online?

Hi, FW= Featherweight, a very light weight machine, made by Singer, in the 30's 40's 50's, and I think into the 60's, not sure about that tho. The came in black, tan and white. my blue and green ones are repainted.
I have 7 Pfaffs and would not want to part with them. 4 are the Pfaff 7570's my dream machine, I really, really love them. I bought 3 of them at local Pfaff dealer, and one at a pawn shop in town. I also bought 2 of my FW from them. I did buy 4 of my FW's on E-bay.
With shipping any machine you have to be VERY careful about packing and shipping it. I bought a 7570 from Tx. and the packing was not great under the machine, and it arrived broken, had to ship it back. Best to sell local if you can, IMHO.
My classes are for beginners, 4H, 2 of my students are 9 year old twins, and my other class has 13 &15 year old sisters. the 9 YO had never sewn at all, and both got ribbons at fair. The other gals are dyeing all their fabric to make their quilts, we have dyed, the bright yellow, lime green, orange, hot pink, blue and purple. black is the only color we will not be dyeing.
I have not done an on line class, but there are just tons of demos on U-tube, I even check them out, can learn so much from them.
Let me know how things go and if I can be of any help, just let me know.

I will try to post another picture, I have cobbled walk way to the little house and a patio on the side that wraps around the front, with my mint barrels, I will be doing my fabric dyeing, and painting in it. will have one on one, or maybe 2 dyeing class. I love my little house, it was built by a Amish gent, and I had power, sheet rock, and insulation, air and heat, lights, and have nice laundry sink, and will have counter and cupboards, all along the back wall. I will have a folding table and chair to use inside.
guess I have to try another new post to add pictures,
