    Someone mentioned that their Step 1 HOURGLASS Blocks seem to have become
    'not so precise' in the center.

    There is a HINT that works for this intersection.

    I have a little calculator that I keep by my cutting/sewing table.
    I figured out the number of square inches in a yard of fabric
    (36x36=1296) .
    Then measure your quilt and multiply length x width to give you the number
    of square inches in your quilt.
    Then divide that by 1296 and it will give you the number ...

    OMG, I have a Brother machine and love everything about it except the 1/4" issue, altho I've somewhat worked around it. I will definitely try this!
