I asked for a very neutral pieced background. Just in case I am working on a couple more possible appliques!

  5. Frog Pond Card Table Playhouse

I bought this great pattern from Empty Bobbin Sewing Studio and I've been going nuts making these. They require about a yard of fabric for each side and I decided to use my Joann's 50% off coupon and use the wider nylon so it only took two yards for the sides. Then I splurged on the top!! I added a kitty, butterflies and next will be flower boxes. I also made one out of camouflage material which was cut to look 3D. No "real" door for this one, just overlap the front pieces a little bit. ...

Next I cut around the traced pieces (no on the lines) to reduce the amount of fabric getting stuck up during fusing. Choose the fabrics (I love batiks because they fray less and I love the colors). ...

  9. Playhouse in 3D

I have been making some cute little card table playhouses. They have a playmat on the top for cars and trucks, trees, shrubs and flowers. There are three windows, a door and a mailbox which opens. I've been adding cats and butterflies. Now it's time to change things up. I ordered some camouflage fabric online which said it had a brown background fabric. When it arrived it was 3D (leaves and such are cut out). It will make a perfect little hunting blind, just for fun. Put in some pockets for flashlight ...
