Update Nov. 29.. Ollie is here for a few hours today while Liz is taking care of some medical appts for Ollie in the next go round of surgical procedures. Today, my little Ollie man is not feeling good, and from the hitting of his head, with his tiny fist, he is in pain or at least, there is pressure building up as the Neurologist had explained. I was asked a few days ago to think about writing a short writing about what quilting means to me, or what it has taught me, or how it has encourged me in the few years I have taught myself how to quilt.

I had been asked earlier this year as well, by Ricky Tims to write a piece that he might use for his , and Alex Anderson's The Quilt Life Magazine, but because that would entail more than I could do at that time, we had to not do that. I was greatly saddened to say no to Ricky, because ...

I had Ollie last night for a few hours, and he fell asleep after we had a snuggle time with some music, and story telling by mema about how all the Ollie angels are so important to little boys, and their mema.. He decided that was that all true, but it was time for all good men to fall asleep in mema's arms.. What could be better than that? maybe only falling asleep in 2 of mema's arms..whats not to love?

WEll, to all Ollie's quilting aunties, and angels here on the board, if I can't figure this all out, and where all my old posts were from before the " change of life " here, I am sure it will mean me not doing as much posting, because I can't seem to figure out where to go, and what steps to sucessfully do, to add new photos of Ollie.. Not knowing where , or if my old posts will show up ( because I haven't found them all ! ) , i will give a brief synopsis of who this little Ollie man is in these photos..
He is a just turned 1 year old on Oct. 18, who was born without optic nerves in his little blue eyes. He is sightless, although the extent of it will not be known until he can talk , and understand questions.
