A good productive day! I got DH's bib done (special request from him; he's messy) and wrapped. Also wrapped his other gifts while he was gone to the library.
Also got my December BOM swap partner's blocks ready to mail. Her theme is cats so hope she likes these.
I am going to participate in the 50 Fabulous paper-pieced stars group next year. Got the CD for the blocks in the mail today and have been auditioning fabrics for a background. At first I was going to do Quilts of Valor
I shall mail out the last package today. All of my family live elsewhere out of state. Now to just take it easy a day or so and then I think I will do some knitting.
Blessings and happy holidays to all.
FONT=Comic Sans MS]It is another cloudy day here in Kansas. It seems 90% of the days are overcast. Tomorrow should bring rain, at least it is forecast.
I am busy quilting a wall hanging for Christmas for my daughter. It is Ophelia the pig and is looking pretty good if I do say so myself, lol. I hope to have it off the longarm later today and get it bound by tomorrow before time to go to guild. If I can get both it and my son's queen sized quilt bound, they will go in the mail tomorrow.
We made it back home just fine, although road weary after 3,547 miles. And we did decide not to drive to Phoenix for Christmas. A bit too much at our ages.
Busy, busy is the order of the day while finishing up Christmas gifts. Today is our small group meeting and I shall be working on a wall quilt for DD.
It is a very cold 18 degrees outside now with more wind than I would like. The feral cats all sleep in the laundry room, coming in through the doggy door. Papacat is still
I didn't reallize it had been so long since posting. We are spending the Thanksgiving holiday with my granddaughter, her dad and his folks in Florida.
It was a grueling 3-day 1600+ mile trip and we start home early Monday morning.
Our visit has been great. Today Gabby saw Santa and Mrs. Claus and got a reindeer painted on her face. No, she is not wearing it to church tomorrow, lol.
I have to get into high gear upon arriving home to get Christmas quilted on the longarm and
A good Sunday to all!!! We went to church and then to Walmart.
A quick sandwich for lunch and then on to playing catchup on the puter.
A Christmas scrappy queen-sized quilt for my middle son needs the final run on the longarm this afternoon. Then I think I shall spend the remainder of the day knitting. Perhaps I shall be able to block some knitting projects already done.
Have a blessed day, all.
It has drizzled all day. We may get some snow mixed in before it ends.
Today was guild day. Our small group always goes together, eating beforehand. We had a wonderful program put on by a lady from OKC who does the most amazing portrait quilts. I'm taking her class tomorrow - a complete out-of-the-box for me, but we shall see.
Last evening we had a small aftershock, DH sitting next to me didn't even notice it. But one of the little dogs had histerics.
