Wow 14 blocks made and 386 more to go. i am setting a goal of making 10 blocks per week for this quilt to at least get the quilt top done this year. this quilt pattern is a 100 x 100 sized quilt so that is 10,000 1.5" fabric squares needed. wow! i am not overwhelmed by any of this yet. i am just taking it one fabric square at a time. i am using both strip sets and individual squares to make up these blocks. i have so many more fabrics to incorporate into these quilt blocks that ...

so far i have made 7 blocks of 10 x 10 1.5" squares. i am going to set a goal of making at least 4 blocks per week for a total of 81 blocks. i have a goal of making this quilt a queen sized 90 x 90 quilt. i am using both strip sets and individual squares to make these blocks as i do not mind having repeats. i am working to incorporate into this quilt top all of my fabric loves and all the fabrics in my stash such as african prints (from ghana & senegal), modern prints, batiks, ...

I finally finished these pillowcases for the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge and will turn them in at the next guild meeting of my local Modern Quilt Guild. I am so glad I got these finished as the fabrics have been sitting around looking at me, begging to be made into pillowcases for some time. I obliged those begging fabrics now off they go.

This year I felt a desire to document my quilt journey. I am embarking on two postage stamp quilt adventures and perhaps I felt that if I do so (document), I would be sure to complete them in some form.
