Choosing a quilt binding for your baby quilt should be done once the quilt is assembled. It is difficult to make a decision on what type of fabric should be used for the binding and how it will look on the quilt.
Place your finished quilt top on either your design wall or lay it out on a bed or clean floor space. Now, you will be able to place potential binding fabrics alongside of the quilt top. Step back. Exchange fabrics and repeat.

I am almost finished with a jeans quilt. I plan to use a light weight flannel for the backing. Any suggests for a material for the quilt binding? Since the person I am sending the quilt to lives in Florida, do not want to use too heavy of a material.
