You have GOT to try this block. It really does go together in 5 minutes - I timed it! This one is a baby quilt for my nephew. I hand stitched each of the white pinwheels to make the curved edge and I echo quilted the red/white pinwheels formed by the pattern on my mid arm machine. Suzanne's tute is excellent and easy to follow. There are several ways to put the blocks together if you don't like pinwheels.

Not long ago I suggested that one of the board member use the Benartex DeNovo quilt design for her project. I used it for my fall quilt. I think it is lovely. The fabric is FALL SPECTACLAR by FABRI-QUILT, INC. I purchased it from my local quilt shop. The panel had 12 blocks fortunately as that is exactly what this pattern calls for - 12 9.5 inch blocks besides the other fabrics. The close-ups show the lovely fabrics better.

I also know that she intertains family and over night guests quite often, works with her local library, is an active member in her quilt group, plus many things I'm not aware of. And she still brings me a quilt about every month. I wish I had her energy. In the past I basted smaller pieces with Elmes's school glue and it was great. Tonight I basted the entire 80x60 quilt with it. Everything went smoothly (knock on wood) and I am going to leave it to dry overnight. It will be ready for quilting tomorrow. I hope it holds well. I will post my results. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
