I posted a pic and was touched by all the nice comments. I love this quilt board!
What a nice way to perk up my Tuesday by depositing money into my checking account. Hurray. I did some more sewing on my HSTs last night and I only have one more stack of about 30 left to sew. I should finish those up tonight and I'll start ironing tonight as well. I'm sewing them on my Singer 301A, Helen, and she is doing such a great job. I'm also chain piecing which is something I have never done before. It's lots of fun. Then is it on to arranging my squares or not, ...
I understand how you feel. Remember that your intent was good and that kindness counts in this world. However, I was taught that a "thank you" cost nothing and is the least thing one can do for the kindness of others. Keep your cheer about giving and don't let unthoughtful actions of others change your charity. Beautiful and cute. I'm sure she will love it. yMar Originally Posted by mtkoldra my best friend gave me her old dress to make a quilted item for her. The kit instruction says to use a marking pen, but I think that I would rather hand embroidered. Has anyone used a pen and will it stay, not fade?
I finished my valentine quilt, its my second quilt so don't look to closely!
I can't believe we are really going through this winter so fast! It has been an unbelievable winter this year. Except for a week of teens temps we have been in the 30s and 40s all winter so far with only a couple of 1" snows! I am so grateful for no ice storms so far or deep snow storms!! Praise the Lord! Iowa is usually knee deep in snow and ice by now. Not that I'm complaining mind you! I love the temps and the sunshine we have today!! Wow I just looked and we are at 59!!! Unbelievable!!! ...

Here I am at work, dreaming about sewing up my HSTs for my quilt top. I finished cutting this weekend and even started piecing the HSTs. I finally used my Singer 301A for the first time yesterday sewing the HSTs. The machine works great, I'm so glad I bought it. I'm going to do some sewing every night this week and I hope to have all the HSTs put together by Friday. I still have to decide how I want to sew them together in the quilt top. Finished all my organizing and picture ...
Creating two pieced and quilted placemats is the perfect format to try something new. They can be fast and easy and so much fun. I'm working on several sets. I'll be posting them soon. Today is the deadline for sign up !!!!!
