I am going to be making placemats out of remnant upholstery fabric. I need to find a batting that will be stiff enough and not pucker, with a relatively thin profile. I am new to doing quilting and piecing projects so I would appreciate any tips you experienced people would like to share with me.

HELP! I am soooo confused. I want to get a frame to do some short arm quilting. I have extra machines so I can set it up and leave it. I have seen so many versions, I am overwhelmed. I see metal, wood, different type casters... Where to purchase...is there a place anyone knows of in the Northern KY area where I can see one? I work full time and don't have time to join a guild, so that is not an option.. I am lost...can anyone help?
