  2. Satin Binding

    by , 04-02-2013 at 12:54 PM
Hope you can help with this....I have a request for a baby blanket and they want double batting with satin blanket binding. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I keep the satin binding even on each side since the sandwiched material and batting are so thick? I have a walking foot and tried it with that but still seems to get off track while sewing the binding on. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for the help.

    Quilting Retreats

One week from today I will be madly packing my supplies and suitcase to attend our annual Quilting Retreat in Lititz, PA. I
am happy to report that there has been a very excited and happy flurry of emails and instant messages between the attendees talking about what to pack, where to
go, when to meet up and how busy they are planning their final preparations for this gathering.

We all look forward to the event from the date it is planned ...
  4. Bobbin Case

    by , 04-02-2013 at 11:05 AM
I own a Janome 6600 sewing machine. Did any other owner of same machine have a problem with the bobbin case? After using the scissors on the machine my bobbin case jumps out. Could it be that the bobbin case has been worn down?

  7. 5 minute blocks

    by , 04-01-2013 at 06:42 AM
    Hi
I am looking for dimensions for the 5 minute blocks made by Suzanne of design originals. I do know you have to make the middle one 1/4" wider or the v is not the right size when open, she said she uses 10 ", is that when finished or before she cuts. I hope someone has the sizes of the 3 materials.
    Thanks
    Gail

  8. question

    by , 04-01-2013 at 03:06 AM
I am looking for a pattern of a picture I downloaded sometime in the past few months. The quilt was called Jungle Stars and was featured in Quick and Easy Quilting Magazine, June 2002, Vol 24. I have only been quilting for 8 months. Have no clue where I got this. I downloaded it from somewhere. I googled with no success. Anyone with a link, could you share?
