Here is my April 2013 BOM.
This quilt is made using the churn dash block, I think it was the favourite block of our most venerated late member and the instigator of our quilt groupís challenge, Cecily. But I dislike it. I wanted to rise to the challenge as always but I find the block rather pedestrian, perhaps because Iíve only made it in co-ordinated colours and plain fabrics, so a decided to do it in heavily patterned fabrics and mix it up so that the pattern was lost and the fabric became the star of the piece rather
I'm new and thought I would share my latest achievement... A client brought me a tricot quilt... Last one I worked on would have been 34+ years ago and it was for me and my husband at our wedding. It was hand quilted and bla bla bla. I was surprised to work on one today. It was a bit tricky because of the stretch-ablitly of tricot. any way.... it turned out kind of 70ish, with it's bright colors and all. I'm glad I don't have to bind it.

Three of us had a sewing day appliqueing all the blocks then I put it together and quilted it on my Pfaff Expressions 3.0. All the main fabrics are batiks.

Iím sorry you did not see the support topic on our site dealing with this. Hereís more explanation.
Ever since Vista, you may be unable to write to Program Files. (Thus the ďpermissionĒ issue.) So we need to have you get My Chart from the CD and put it in My Documents.

There are 2 star colors and one background.
For a 48" star ONLY (no border or backing, but there will be enough for a scrappy binding):
1 1/8 yard background
3/4 yard star color A
3/4 yard star color B
I had so much fun creating this costume and it fit. My friend ask me to sew her daughter one and it is so cute on.
I am trying to Free Motion Quilt, I made the sherbet colored quilt, I bought one of those purple pens where I traced the design onto the fabric. WELL...I also have a purple pen that is a purple dye pen... and well I picked up the wrong pen ( they look exactly alike!!!!!) I traced the design on 4 squares and well now it will not wash out - obviously. I was making this quilt for my Mom for Mother's day. I have tried alcohol, hair spray, even acetone, I have one more thing to try, Crisco. I need to
A few weeks ago there was a post on this board with a picture of a quilt that had some blocks with flying geese that went in a circle and some conecting blocks that made kind of a chain through the quilt. some others on the board made a pattern for the quilt. I thought I had them saved but can't find it now. Dose anyone remember it or who made the patterns?
I know that I've seen a reference to a lady in southern Minnesota who handles vintage parts and machines. Does anyone remember the website? Thanks in advance. I know if anyone can help it will be on this board.
