Stress Management for Women! This is absolutely wonderful!!!!

A young lady confidently walked around the room while leading and explaining stress management to an audience with a raised glass of water. Everyone knew she was going to ask
the ultimate question, 'half empty or half full?'.. She fooled them all .... "How heavy is this glass of water?" she inquired with a smile. Answers called

    by , 01-27-2014 at 06:37 AM
I would like to make a block with a six pointed star. I found the hex and more ruler by Julie Herman. Is this an easy way to create this star or is there a better way?

  8. Starting Quilter's Acadamy with my new sewing machine

    by , 01-25-2014 at 11:32 AM
On Monday I brought home my brand new sewing machine. I got the Viking Sapphire 930 and it's wonderful. It has lots of options I can play with and it comes with a wide variety of decorative stitching. I bought some accesories as well, including a quilter's table (which is basically an extension table). The wider throat space is going to be super helpful when I get to the actual quilting on my machine.

  9. New Scrappy all cut out!

    by , 01-24-2014 at 10:17 AM
Spent the morning getting my next scrappy quilt all cut out.
I will keep all 672 pieces together in my "kit box".
It will be called "Scrap Ribbons". I'm using a pattern from the book "Scrap-Basket Surprises".
Now, I'm starting to draw a diagonal line on the backside of 288 little squares.

As you can see, I added a strip and a piano keys border to two ends, and was quite pleased with the end result.
Beautiful, lots of work but well worth it.
