  1. Done 13 big blocks - En Provence

by , Today at 05:34 AM
I got a lot of sewing done yesterday, 13 blocks in all, webbing each one together as I went. My design wall isn't big enough to hold them all. So I'm staging them on the cutting area and carrying them down to sew them. By the time I come back up, I've usually forgotten which yellow I used. Pictures of my progress are below. The blocks for the far right side of the quilt are piled on the back of the chair in reverse order. And the block on the top left will actually go on the bottom left in ...

  2. Almost done trimming En Provence

    by , 01-18-2017 at 11:22 AM
I've finished trimming weeks 2 through 7 blocks while week 1 still hangs on the mannequin. If I can finish trimming today, perhaps I'll be able to make a design block before the week is out. And another plus, after learning I don't count so well, and had to make a few more week 2, 6, and 7, I now have an ample amount to do the entire quilt with 3 extra squares. I'm in the market for a new machine! I don't really have alot of money to spend, but I want one that will give me the biggest bang for the buck.

I piece quilts and do some quilting on my machine! I would like one that could monogram and/or embroidery.

Any thoughts? I know I should buy from a local quilt shop so that I have someone close to service it!

I've been busy cutting my squares down to size before beginning the task of piecing them all together. So far I've trimmed 195 squares. And this is the pile I have to show for it.
