Nearly finished with my first lap quilt, but my singer has decided to start jamming after a few inches of free form stiches. It makes a noise and the turning wheel won't budge. I rip it out and it does it again. Have cleaned, oiled, and checked for obvious issues to no avail. Nothing in the books that I have found on this troubleshooting issue. What might I suspect it to be? Any recommendations on a new quilting machine (under $300.00) with 10-11" throat space?
Pattern instructions are great until I press where colors 1 and 11 meet (both odd numbers). No matter which way I press, when I try to stitch the rows together these squares will not lock in. Am I missing something?
Hi everyone! I am looking for some help with a few quilting questions. I am looking to have my grandmother make me a quilt, but she is getting older so I want to have everything cut out for her and ready so she doesn't have to do all the "small" work so it helps her out. I am looking to do a king size carpenters wheel or carpenters star quilt resembling the picture I have provided. I have found a few carpenter star quilt patterns but none of them are king size, they are all smaller.
