It was made with really nice cotton fabric, dang nearly perfect stitching, hand painted faces and bamboo. The creator did sign it. I fell in love with the piece especially since it was made really well & with care, I brought it home washed it and proceeded to take it apart. So I made a mug rug, I free motioned all of the background. I made a lavender pin cushion and a needle carry case. I just love it. If you notice I printed my label along with the creators signature. After all she did
So when I export from picasa i have a choice on the size picture i want to export to a file on my desktop. I'm doing a round mug rug, I want it to look as though you are looking into a pond at a coi fish. I put organza over the fish to see if I like the effect. When i post the picture on the board, it must be cropped, lightened and made the size best for observing on the computer.
the first picture is 380 pixels
Ok here are some of my rugs in progress. this is the front and back, no binding yet.
My partner has received it so I want to post it.
Forgot how to spell my name
Doing a circle format can be limiting, but I thought I should give it a try. This is my playing around with scraps.
Can't wait to see where this swap sends us, down the creative road...I hope. Come on everyone lets get rolling................
