While at our beach house this past weekend, I went to the local quilt shop in search of some black/white fabrics to finish a project that I wanted to do for the local library. The block I am making is from "Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks, Vol. 4" magazine. I have three made for a wall hanging and need to finish the assembly and do the hand work.
It's always a nice time to visit with the owner who has become a good friend and to do some show and tell.
While I was showing her a block that I was working on (well 12 of them actually), I told her how I had fallen in love with the background fabric and had bought was was left on the bolt at a store back home. I found that it wasn't going to be enough and was looking for a new idea for setting triangles. She said "That looks kind of familiar" and the next think I knew I was buying three yards of my fabric from her. I am hoping it will be enough, but I know where to look if I need more. I was jumping for joy at the find!
