I tried to post pics on the message board, but the pics were just too small, so I'll try them here.
We had a sampler quilt class, and this is my version of the quilt. I had some Moda fabric that I'd had for a while, and I thought this would be the perfect project for them. Really pretty purples, greens, pinks, and yellow.
I had Kevin quilt as he wanted, so each block has different quilting motifs in them. He did cross hatching, freehand vines and feathers, ruler work,
I can't say enough good about Nolting's customer service. Yesterday as Kevin was attempting to change out the needle in the FunQuilter, the head of the screw holding the shaft completely snapped off (due to too much force used by said quilter!). Anyway, we took the machine up to Hiawatha today, and their customer service is second to none. Dan Novak is the head wrench in the shop. He and his crew all were extremely helpful and fast....they had the machine ready to go home in no time.
Anyone else here from the board on Pinterest? My sister gave me an invite, and man...what a collection of everything on there! I've found some longarm quilters whose work I've admired on there, and have I ever found inspiration for quilting!
