I need help designing a twin size quilt for my 3 year old Grandson. The carpenters star piece is 38" x 38", he has an extra long twin bed. I have agonizing over this for 3 months, I don't know what to do. have 5 yards of the polka dot and 4 1/2 yards of the cars fabric. I feel the cars fabric is too busy to put on the star side of the quilt. I don't think another quilt design would work to go around the star. I'd like to make a quilt for our bed in our trailer we go camping in all the time. The colors in the trailer are light brown dark red and gold. Sort of busy fabric, needs to be calm. How would you make the quilt??
I find quilt patterns that I like everywhere, when I find one I really like I start looking at fabrics. Usually I want it to be a different set of colors than the one shown. Can anyone give me tips on how to choose fabrics, this is the hardest part of quilting for me!
And it had a virus attached to it, my computer was protected, but it let me know a virus had attacked.
I had written in the blog that I was desperately looking for agua and beige/brown fabric. When I put "agua and beige/brown quilting fabric" in the search box, a link came up...it was my blog entry!!!! How did this happen?? does that happen automatically, or did some maliciously do this, because when I clicked on it, my computer immediately told me I had been attacked by a virus!!!

I found this pattern on Annie's website, now I need to choose fabrics, but I want more aqua and less orange, can anyone with expertise him me? I have been in search of find fabrics in beige aqua and brown, what do you think of those colors for this quilt?
