I'm new to quilting so just do pretty basic stuff. I do charity quilts for newborns here in Mexico. Today I got some donated fabric, none of which is cotton or cotton blend. Lots of silky, lacey, and net material. What (if anything) can i do with it?

Make a crazy quilt. Search "crazy quilt" for ideas. The silky material is perfect for a crazy quilt. Then use lots of different stitches to decorate the pieces.
Good luck. Probably not a washable quilt.

Just my opinion. I would not use any of it for quilts. Baby quilts need to stand up to lots of washing. Next time state fabric must be 100% cotton.
