I didn't have a pattern for the deer quilt.I had a hard time trying to decide what to do with it since I didn't want to cut the squares too small, so I just decided to do 4 patches to go with it.
I saw a log cabin heart somwhere on this site, but I don't remember where. I just cut strips and laid them out on the floor until I had it the size and shape I wanted. Hope this helps.
