I started this quilt 2 years ago, it gets worked on in stages.
I pieced the background, machine appliqued the swans, lilies & cat tails, machine embroidered the wisteria.
The cat tails are a yarn that I couched to give dimension.
The swans, lily pads were fused and machine stitched.
The lilies were individual petals that were thread painted, with the center highlighted with yellow.

I have been quilting since I was a young girl, along with needlepoint and all forms of embroidery.
I also tole paint.
I have been married to my sweetheart for 34 years' have 2 children and 1 grandson. They are the purpose of my life!
My Grandmother, Aunt & Mother taught me to embroider and quilt. I grew up on a dairy farm outside of Buffalo, NY, and during the long winters we would sit in the parlour and work on Baptism bibs for our church.. We
