Had a lovely, busy day. I went to a church annual meeting about 80 miles away to preside over the meeting for them. This was my third time at this church, which has been through quite a bit of controversy in the last two years. Things are turning around for them now, so it was nice that they had me back to see them playing nice together.
The sunny cold day was great for the drive. Just put on the cruise control and glide.
When I got home, I started right in on making this little quilt top. It is copied from the March/April issue of McCalls Quilting. The original is big, but I don't do big, I do small, so I mini - ized the design. I had all of the necessary black and white fabrics in my stash, so I just plunged in and did it, and it came out the way I wanted it to! Whoo hoo, that doesn't happen all of the time...
I made such a large batch of jumbalaya the other day, that we brought it around again tonight for supper, so I did not have to interrupt my sewing to cook. And, there's still more! Hope my hubby does not get tired of it...
Tomorrow I'm off to Minneapolis on another volunteer parliamentarian gig. Hope the good driving conditions continue -- it will be a 250 mile round trip. Don't know whether I'll be able to sew tomorrow, but there will be more little quilts this week, I think. I'm on a roll now.
