Rhonda's Retreat

I should be going to bed but thought I would write for a few minutes.

It's been cold and quiet today. Tho it is up in the 30s today as compared to the single digits and the teens we saw the last few days. We are supposed to be up in the 40s for the next few days so I hope so!!

Thankfully the snow and ice is almost gone. We didn't get alot thank goodness but I hate any snow and ice. It makes the roads iffy and I hate to drive when you have to worried about the roads being bad.

Haven't been out of the house for a week til today. I went up to the post office to get my mail and send some templates out and got my mail for the first time in a few days. A friend brought my mail last Wed so I didn't have to get out. I have a post office box because when we moved here 15 yrs ago we had a group of preteen boys in our neighborhood who would mess with people's mailboxes. We are a small town of 400 or so and most people have rural mailboxes at the edge of the street in front of their house. I didn't trust the boys to leave it alone and back then we were getting Glen's SS check in the mail. I still have the PO box because then my mom can't look through my mail. Just prefer to have some privacy.

Speaking of the mail I got all my swaps back in the mail today!! I got 2 differant quilt blocks from my own Quilt Block Swap so now I need to hustle and get theirs done and in the mail! I also got a pkg of HSTs from a friend I am swapping with.

I ordered some blades for my rotary cutter and I got them in the mail too! I really made out like a bandit in the mail today!

Tomarrow we will see... I need to go to Walmart and get some groceries I guess. Just a few things I am out of. I just sent 2 grandsons home yesterday - they were here Fri to Sun and this Fri I am getting my son's 3 boys and my DDs daughter for
the weekend. Since Joey and Zach ate pretty near all the snacks in the house I need to go get some more! LOL

They like chips and I can usually find the small pkgs which I prefer they have so I don't have a big bag of chips spilled all over the floor. They like muffins and cookies of course. Sometimes I make homemade cookies. Daymon loves cheese so I usually have cheese on hand and they like those microwavable mac and cheese bowls. I have to admit I like them too. Colton is 13 mos old now so I am sure he will eat most anything the boys eat. He loves to follow his big brothers around. The twins Daymon and Devon are 8 now and Rachel is 9. She will be 10 May 1st! They sure grow up too fast!!

I guess I''m heading to bed now! Sweet dreams everyone!!
