    What if the hanger was part of the binding? That is, on the top binding use the open end method and include a pretty hanger right into the binding

    And how to make a binding that can double as a hanging sleeve for small wall hangings. I know I have another version of this technique somewhere, but where or where is it? The miter ends are open and the small rod goes through the top binding? Should be able to figure that out. Anyway, here's the other.

    Have been waiting less than patiently since we got to Florida for my new-to-me Janome 1600p to arrive. She came today, while I was out shopping for fusible thread. She is beautiful, and I think her name is Lydia, for my aunt Lydia who could sew like a dream. I still remember when Mom tried to make a reversible wool coat. One side was leopard--this was the 60's. She got stuck, packed it up in a box, sent it to Lydia to try to turn the lapels correctly. It came back all done, including buttons ...
