Very pretty. Very well done! I LOVE your choice of fabrics. (I love polka dots.)
Look forward to seeing what your next project will be. I also made a rail fence. It was the 2nd quilt I ever made.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. I looked at all your quilts; they are gorgeous!

Thank you so much. I still feel very much like a beginner. But it is fun to try new things even if they don't turn out exactly as I planned. lol Do you have any plans for your next quilt? I have so many that I want to try. lol and of course the inspiration here on the board always lands a few more on that list.

A DP9 is a simple pattern if you want any suggestions. (And is kind of a forgiving pattern.) My "under the sea" is a DP9 that is all scrambled up. And, I've also done a DP9 that has more of a pattern. (not pictured, right now.)

A DP9 is just a nine patch put together and then cut in half length wise and width wise to give you 4 blocks. (That's it, that's all you do.) There are many different layouts you can do with this block depending on how you turn it. Scrappy DP9's are really pretty. Here's the link for the QB DP9's album. http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...bums18014.html

GOOD for you, it's really nice. I"m going to take a beginners class soon. Have a converted guest room made into quilting room and all that I need to get started. Now I need confidence and courage!!!! Have some material in washing machine now and iron on board to be ready for the 1st step. Like the scouts, I'm prepared,ha. What is DP9's? I'm new to "quilting Board" too so bare with me. Exasperated

i believe dp9 stands for disappearing 9 patch...great for linus projects or baby quilts ...goes fast..but looks like you put a lot of work into it..enjoy your day...from my heart to yours..

Great job, very pretty and I love blue and white. My first quilt was a log cabin. It turned out ok. My next was a diamond tree skirt. Not so good but I hide the mistake at the back.LOL! Stay away from biased edges for now and you will be fine. Good luck.
